Caption: The white dashed section is part of the first orbit of the Deep Impact flyby spacecraft after its encounter with Tempel 1. In late 2007, the spacecraft flew past Earth and had a gravity assist that put it on its second heliocentric orbit (solid white circle). During the EPOCh phase (orange arc) of the EPOXI mission, the spacecraft will be observing several stars and specifically planets that transit those stars. The spacecraft will also be making observations of Earth.
