Caption: This EPOXI mission image of comet 103P/Hartley 2 was taken 2 days after Encounter (E+2d) using the Medium Resolution Instrument (MRI) and a clear filter. Science Team member Dr. Dennis Wellnitz used a single 20sec exposure. The mid-exposure time was 2010/11/06 23:09:15 UTC. The comet was 1.06 AU from the Sun and 0.02 AU (2.5 million km) from the spacecraft.
